By taking part in a workshop activity you acknowledge/accept that you are over 16 years of age. If you have a medical or mental health concern/problem or health-related question you will consult with your GP before participating. If you are/think you may be pregnant, please let Wild CPD know in advance of any workshops. Activities in workshops are taken at participants own risk.
Participants should only take part in workshop activities they feel comfortable with and are within their capability. Participants must make the workshop leader aware of any medical or mental health conditions or injuries which might affect participation. If a participant has a question, feels unsafe or unwell they must inform the workshop leader immediately and discontinue further participation in the workshop.
The information, advice and workshop activities are not intended to be a substitute for mental health or medical counselling/advice. The workshops are not therapeutic interventions - they are designed to inform and develop tools using a variety of learning methods. Participation in activities outdoors usually involves potential risk of injury. By booking, participants confirm they are in good health and can take part in workshop activities and take full responsibility for their own health and wellbeing and agree that any instructions received will be used at their own risk. Participants confirm they have disclosed any relevant medical information and understand they are participating at their own risk.
By booking participants may be asked to give verbal consent to be videotaped, audio recorded and/or photographed during the workshops, and grant the workshop leader the right to own, use and modify the images and/or recordings for any purpose, including advertisements, marketing, and commercial purposes and in all forms of media, without any compensation (including royalties) in perpetuity. By giving verbal consent participants waive any right to inspect or approve any images or recordings and waive any rights of ownership to the same.
Covid-safety: We ask that workshop participants follow the Scottish Government Guidelines on coronavirus including, if appropriate, taking a lateral flow test on the day of the workshop and not attending if you have a positive test or symptoms. We will keep government guidance under review and appropriate safety measures will be in place depending on the guidance at the time.
All workshop participants must act in an appropriate, acceptable way adopting the principles of dignity, inclusion, and respect. Any personal information shared within a workshop should be treated as confidential and must not be disclosed out with the workshop. Any unprofessional or disrespectful behaviour will result in the participant being asked to leave. If a participant is attending as an employee, then their employers HR policies and codes of conduct will also apply.
Cancellation by participants is permitted up to 72 hours before a workshop for a workshop credit which will enable you to re-book on a workshop within 12 months of the date of the original workshop. Alternatively, you can “gift” your workshop place to a colleague of the same employer. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of a workshop, then you are entitled to “gift” your workshop place to a colleague of the same employer enabling them to attend the workshop in your place. Unfortunately, no refund will be able to be given if you cancel within 72 hours and you are not able to “gift” your place on that workshop to a colleague of the same employer. In all cases, please email info@wildcpd.com asap so arrangements can be made.
Wild CPD will only cancel workshops in the event of illness of a workshop leader or in adverse weather conditions (high winds). Workshops will not be cancelled solely due to poor weather, rain, or snow. In the event of cancellation by Wild CPD a full refund or change of date will be offered to all participants.
Please have regard to weather conditions and layer clothing appropriately. Please bring walking boots or footwear suitable for muddy conditions, a waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers if you have them (for sitting on the ground), water and any medications.
